Great use of color, texture and light. I wonder what bird donated the feathers. You know me, there’s a story there. Jo

Thanks, y’all. I’m so glad you enjoyed this image. The feathers are mostly from mourning doves, with a few from mockingbirds. My mother has half a dozen bird feeders in her yard; with the increased activity around them lately, I’ve found many more shed feathers than usual. The rock in the background measures about 24″ x 12″ x 14″—it may once have served as part of the foundation of the old cabin that once stood in place of Mom’s house.
